Well I moved into Toronto. All nice and snug and stuff. I share a 3 bedroom apartment with... three females...
That's your cue to laugh hysterically.
Rumour has it, that once they live together long enough, their periods will align, and signal the end of my days.
Moving into more (much, much more) happier (and less frightening) topics; I went to my first drag queen show last night, in Toronto's Gay Village. Specifically at Crews. Two of the performers, whose names escape me, were amazing. The rest were either frightening (the one named Deja Vu made me like super fat) or just couldn't lip sync. Well I make it sound like there were a lot of them. Maybe 5 in total.
Anyway, my friends I made at Ryerson and I were in the very front, and the one girl knows the whole circuit like the back of her hand, and she was good friends with the one amazing drag queen.
And it pays to have friends who have friends in high places! hahaha, in between her songs, the drag queen would talk to people in the audience, and she was all like "So I hear there's a bunch of people from Ryerson (my university) in the house!"
and we were all like *Random wooing noise!*
and she was like "are there any freshmen with you?"
I was the only one so I kinda waved and nodded and she was all like "Isn't that cute, what's your name darling?" and she shoved the microphone in my face and I was like "Gregory!"
and she was like "Gregory sweetie, your nails are gorgeous!" and she picked up my hand (she had REALLY soft hands) and said "are you a transexual, by any chance?" and I replied "I'll be whatever you want me to be." and she was all like "Ooh! You kids these days. Always so naughty! Well glad you can be here Gregory."
I suppose I can sum up the entire experience in this:
^_^;;
Amazing Drag Queen show aside, I've made a bunch of new friends here in TO. Kaori, who is straight from Japan is oh so cute, and can speak English fairly well, but most larger/uncommon words still escape her.
She's funny too! Sometimes she'll say "I like your coat" to which I'll reply "Too bad it doesn't like you" and she'll retort saying "I know, it never calls."
And then I start laughing. Humour transcends culture, let me tell you.
Then there is Akira, Charlene, Linz and Annabel, good times with all of them. Charlene is hilarious, Annabel is super nice, Linz is amazing for your self esteem (she'll laugh at anything you say) and Akira is great if you have any left over food you need to get rid of.
Good times at Ryerson.
Anyone else having a good school year so far?!?!
